My image “Reaching for the Stars” was awarded the Photographic Society Of America’s “Gold Award For Excellence”
Edinburgh Photographic Society International Digital 2025
My image “Swinging Cheetah” was awarded the Scottish Photographic Federation’s GOLD Medal in the 2025 Edinburgh Photographic Society’s International Digital Salon
Australian Photographic Society Photobook Awards 2025
My Photobook “Living The Dream” won the 2025 Australian Photographic Society’s Photobook Award in the Travel category.

Australian Photographic Society National Exhibition Nature 2025
My images “Swinging Cheetah”, “It’s Mine” and “A Beautiful Family” each won GOLD in the Open Nature, Disputes in Nature and Nature’s Newborns categories respectively. In addition, my image “Reaching For The Stars” won BRONZE in the Open Nature category and my image “Special Delivery” won SILVER in the Nature’s Newborns” category.
Greatest Kenyan Wildlife Photographer Of The Year – 2025
My images “Reaching For The Stars”, “Battle Royale” and “Wet” have all been selected to proceed to the final round of this prestigious competition. The competition runs for 10 months, and each month the top 10 images are selected to proceed to the final round. After 10 months, the judges will select the ultimate winners from the 100 top images.
Australian Photographic Society National Competition – 2025
My images “Wet”and “Brutal” were awarded Gold and Silver medals respectively in this competition
EPS International Digital 2024 and Maitland International Photographic Salon 2025
My image “The Shake” was awarded the FIAP GOLD Medal in the 2024 Edinburgh Photographic Society’s International Digital Salon and the SALON SILVER medal in the 2025 Maitland International Photographic Salon.

Africa Geographic Photographer Of The Year 2024 – Runner Up
My image of a leopard carrying her cub over a river, titled “Hold On Tight”, was chosen as the runner up in the 2024 Africa Geographic “Photographer Of The Year” competition!
Australian Photographic Society – National Exhibition 2024
I am excited to share that my image “Swinging Cheetah” won GOLD in the Nature section of this photographic competition and my image “This Little Piggy” was awarded a Certificate of Merit.
NSW International Photographic Salon – 2023
I am extremely proud of my achievement, winning 5 Gold medals and 2 “honourable mentions” in this international competition.
My image of a leopard hunting a wildebeest titled “Shujaa” won a FIAP Gold and a PSA “Honourable Mention”.
My image of 7 lions chasing a buffalo titled “The Chase” won two GPU Golds.
My image of 2 cheetah hunting a topi titled “A Good Hunt” won both a PSA Gold and a FIAP Gold.
My image of a lone zebra at dawn titled “Tranquility” won a GPU “Honourable Mention”.

2023 Australian Photography Magazine – Photographer Of The Year
The Australian Photography Magazine “Photographer of the Year” competition is the biggest amateur photographic competition in the southern hemisphere with over 2700 entrants. Photographers have to enter a portfolio of 4 related images so it is not a “lucky shot” type of competition.
My Cheetah hunt sequence I photographed in the Mara in February 2023 won the Animal and Nature category.
My Leopard hunt sequence I photographed in the Mara in October 2022 was Highly Commended.

Another good result for me, winning one gold medal and two certificates of merit in this competition.
My cheetah hunt image titled “A Good Hunt” won the Gold medal.
My image “Mating Dragonflies” won a “Cetificate of Merit”.
My image of a hyena carrying away a newborn thompsons gazelle titled “A Short Life” won a “Certificate of Merit”.
Four Nations International Photographic Competition – 2023
I am particularly happy with this win because of the high standard of images entered in this competition.
Australian Mono Awards – 2023
I entered the images below in the Australian Mono Awards, a competition that attracts over 4000 entries.
It was the first time I have ever entered a Mono only competition.
All my images were awarded with at least a “Highly Commended” certificate, with the “Buffalo Hunt” image doing best by finishing in the “Top 20”.

The International Photographic Awards is a prestigious global photographic competition which attracts thousands of entries from both amateur and professional photographers from around the world.
My image “A Good Hunt” was placed second in the wildlife category.
Africa Geographic Photographer of the Year – 2023
Whilst I had hoped to win that great prize of a safari to Botswana, this was an extremely tough competition with around 8,000 entries. I am really happy to have made it to the top 20 and receive the “Highly Commended” award. Next time… ![]()

“Joy Of The Chase”, “A Good Hunt” and “Locked On” have all been selected as finalists in the 2023 competition.
The Australian Landscape Awards – 2023
“Moonrise Over The Mara”, “Mara Dusk” and “Ostriches in a Storm” all won “Highly Commended” awards in this competition. My image “Layers of the Mara” won a “Commended” award.
Australian Photographer of the Year – 2022
My portfolio entry “Big Cats of the Maasai Mara” was awared a “Highly Commended” certificate in the Nature section of this prestigious competition.
In this section, entrants had to enter a portfolio of 4 related images and the entry was judged as a portfolio not on individual images.
The Greatest Maasai Mara Photographer of the Year – 2021
I entered the two images below in this prestigious competition and both of them made it through to the final round.
The Impala image, “Storm Duty”, ultimately finished in the top 10 images in the competition.
